Today the daily post is about nothing. It’s about nothing at all. The truth is, that when you wake up, you find something to say, to do or to work on everyday. Sometimes you wake up and you just do nothing. Who of us hasn’t felt that? Almost everyone did. But how did you end up? What does nothing mean to you? You may set your schedule and adjust your to-do-list according to long term targets and still wake up with no power of will. Powerless. Restless. We may experience that a lot. Almost once in a week. Those days make some difference. Their sources might be clear as the sun. Their sources might be unknown, or rather undefined. What you surely feel during a day like those is that you want to stay like the chair you sit at. Staring. Doing nothing. Sometimes, there are no solutions to those days. It’s not a mental weakness. You just need to rest. Make sure to stay aware that those days could come in such critical time; before an exam, before a meeting, before an interview,…. The thing is, you need to be prepared. Prepared with Plan A, B, C, …. Never be ashamed of wanting to rest. Just work hard so you can afford to rest. I remember once I was with my basket ball team training. It was a fitness day. The hardest of all. The coach wouldn’t stop the training unless someone throws up or falls, or even both. All what everyone did was begging to stop. All the team wanted to quit. Everyone did. Did I? YES. But I’ve never told him, I never showed it, my mind stopped and my body followed the training session with every muscle aching, but I didn’t weep asking him to stop, because that was the lesson: Don’t quit. Rest. But don’t quit. As concluded, the post was about the nothing you might feel someday. Don’t blame yourself. Don’t look at yourself as a loser or some kind of lazy pig. You’re not. Not quitting is something you decide as well. It’s your decision after all. I know I just said that you shouldn’t quit. But in the end, it’s your choice to quit or not. It’s about you. You are the best judge for your own situation. Just one thing, calculate the consequences. Will they lead to something, or nothing? ———————————————————————————————————————————————————- You have been my guest for this morning.
